A:  Yes, our students do receive Employment, here is a few to mention: 

  • NexGen has been Employed 10 of their students in a community project with the SEF/GST program.
  • Two (2) of our students is currently working in the United Kingdom 
  • one our students is employed in a program at Kwa Nomzamo Clinic (jeffreys bay)

A:  Health Promotion Officer (HPO) Training Level 3, also known as Occupational Certificate: Health Promotion Officer, equips individuals with a wide range of skills to promote health and well-being in communities. Here are some key skills developed through this training:


Core Skills:

- Community Assessment: Conducting assessments of communities, households, and individuals to identify health needs and risks

- Health Education: Providing basic health education and referrals for various services

- Support and Navigation: Assisting individuals in navigating the health and social services system

- Psychosocial Support: Providing emotional and social support to individuals and communities


Health Promotion Skills:

- Healthy Lifestyles: Promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles

- Disease Prevention: Educating on disease prevention, including HIV prevention, condom use, and STI management

- Maternal and Child Health: Supporting maternal and child health, including immunization and healthcare referrals

- Mental Wellbeing: Promoting mental wellbeing and providing support for psychosocial problems


Practical Skills:

- Basic Nursing Care: Providing basic nursing care, including wound care and vital sign measurement (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration)

- Treatment and Referral: Identifying and managing minor health problems, and referring individuals to healthcare services when needed

- Health Promotion: Conducting health promotion activities, including health education and awareness campaigns


Workplace Skills:

- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records and reports on health promotion activities

- Collaboration: Working with communities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote health and wellbeing 


  

A: Yes, participants who successfully complete the program may receive a certification 90 days after examination completion.
